When I am unhappy, I find something to be thankful for, I literally have to rumble through my basket and pull out something to cheer me up, I can tell you now, there's a lot in my basket to be thankful for. Sometimes, I look back on life experiences and I tell myself "Girl; you could have been dead and gone by now but you are still here, that means you are destined to be a blessing; Be thankful, don't let this hiccup last longer than necessary. It sounds weird but I litterally have to remind myself that I have so much to be grateful by not feeding the negative emotion; it does help take away the unhappy feelings. There is one or two things that can make you unhappy but there are a dozen and one more things to be thankful for. It also helps to boost the right chemicals in your brain. Don't let negative emotions thrive in your mind, deprive it of the energy that it needs to sustain itself in your mind. Instead, fuel the good emotions, the happy feelings whilst addressing the things that brought the unhappy feelings. There's always something to be thankful for even in the midst of adversity.
